A pinhole camera or camera obscura (latin for dark chamber) can be made from any lightproof container that has a hole at one end and a piece of photographic paper or film at the other. There is no lens, viewfinder or exposure meter and an exposure can take seconds, hours or even days depending on the light situation.
A pinhole photographer is a person who embraces these limitations.
“There is something special about a pinhole camera. There is a beauty in its rawness that technology has yet to better. There is a timeless quality that can make the most uncomplicated subject seem full of poetry“.
